PodHome Resale Support & Buyback Assistance Policy (Non-Binding)

Applies To: PodHome container/modular products purchased directly from PodHome


1) Purpose

PodHome offers a Resale Support & Buyback Assistance Program to help customers:

  • resell their PodHome unit in the secondary market, and/or

  • explore buyback options with PodHome, if feasible.

This policy is intended as support, not a promise of purchase.


2) Important Note – No Guarantee

This is NOT a buyback guarantee.

  • PodHome is not obligated to purchase or repurchase any unit.

  • Any buyback, if offered, is fully discretionary, based on feasibility and inspection.

  • The customer has no automatic right to buyback under this policy.


3) Resale Support (Primary Benefit)

PodHome may assist in resale through some/all of the following support actions:

  • listing the unit on PodHome channels (website/WhatsApp/inquiries list)

  • connecting customer with interested buyers (lead sharing)

  • sharing standard specifications, product photos templates, and estimated market guidance

  • helping with inspection support or documentation sharing

  • optional refurbishment quote for better resale value

✅ PodHome acts only as a facilitator and does not guarantee resale or pricing.


4) Eligibility

This policy may be applicable only if all conditions are met:

  • unit must be original PodHome manufactured

  • customer must provide proof of purchase (invoice/order ID)

  • product must be in operational & structurally safe condition

  • no major unauthorized structural alterations

  • unit should be located at a site accessible for inspection/loading (if required)

PodHome may reject assistance if the unit is unsafe or heavily modified.


5) Buyback Assistance (Optional & Case-by-Case)

If resale doesn’t happen or customer requests buyback, PodHome may evaluate buyback possibility.

Buyback will be considered only if:

  • PodHome has internal demand for the same model

  • unit condition passes inspection

  • logistics and relocation are feasible

  • the unit can be reused/resold profitably after refurbishment

🔹 PodHome may offer:

  • direct buyback, OR

  • exchange credit against a new PodHome unit, OR

  • refurbishment + resale option


6) How Buyback Value Is Determined

If PodHome chooses to offer buyback, pricing may depend on:

  • age of the unit

  • wear & tear condition

  • structural and waterproofing condition

  • electrical/plumbing condition

  • interior condition and furniture status

  • corrosion/rust presence

  • relocation difficulty and logistics cost

  • refurbishment cost required

  • current demand and market resale value

Indicative range: buyback offers may typically be significantly lower than original purchase price due to depreciation and logistics.

(You can optionally add: “buyback offers may range from X% to Y% depending on condition” — but only if you want.)


7) Costs & Responsibilities

Unless explicitly agreed, the following are borne by the customer:

  • crane, hydra, forklift, loading/unloading

  • transport from site to PodHome yard/buyer’s site

  • dismantling of decks, sheds, civil works, septic connections

  • repair work required to make unit movable

  • road permits or local charges

PodHome may help coordinate vendors but does not become liable for third-party work.


8) Inspection Requirement

All resale support and/or buyback evaluation is subject to:

  • photo/video verification, and/or

  • physical inspection by PodHome team/authorized partner.

If inspection access is not granted, PodHome may discontinue assistance.


9) Non-Liability & Disclaimer

PodHome shall not be liable for:

  • inability to find buyers

  • delays in resale

  • buyer disputes

  • payment disputes between customer and buyer

  • legal issues arising from buyer-side agreements

  • depreciation and market price differences

PodHome is only providing support and facilitation, and is not acting as broker/agent unless explicitly agreed in writing.


10) Policy Nature & Modification Rights

  • This policy is a voluntary support program, not a contractual obligation.

  • PodHome can modify, pause, or discontinue this program anytime without notice.

  • Decisions made by PodHome under this policy shall be final.


11) Customer Request Process

To request resale support/buyback assistance:

Customer must submit:

  • invoice/order ID

  • unit photos (outside, inside, underfloor/roof if possible)

  • condition details

  • current site location

  • desired timeline for resale
